Clubhouse Dress Code

The Warragul Country Club wishes to maintain a standard of dress for members and guests that does not offend or affect the health and safety of any person whilst on Club premises. Neat and tidy casual dress is to be always worn whilst in the Clubhouse. This includes the following:

  • Collared shirts, neat polo shirts and T-shirt (without offensive slogans or graphics).
  • Footwear must be worn in all areas of the Club.
  • Headwear is permitted in outdoor seating areas only. Exceptions are for medical or religious reasons and special events (e.g. Melbourne Cup)
  • Students wearing school uniforms are only permitted on the premises if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
After 6.00pm in the Clubhouse and at Functions – Smart casual attire only

What is NOT allowable in the Clubhouse?

  • Ripped, soiled workwear or torn clothing.
  • Patrons who are bare chested.
  • Bare feet and dirty footwear.
  • Gang related colours or slogans.
In the spirit of club pride and shared standards, we ask all guests to follow our dress code. Management and staff are here to help everyone enjoy their visit. If an outfit falls outside our dress guidelines, our team may offer guidance or request a change before entry.

On-course Dress Code

We’re shifting the focus of our dress expectations from rigid attire rules to an emphasis on neatness, etiquette, and respect for the game. This approach ensures that all players—especially women, juniors, and newer golfers—feel more welcome and included.

Acceptable Attire Includes:

  • Collared shirts or neat, golf-appropriate tops

  • Tailored shorts, skirts, dresses (with appropriate sports underwear), skorts, or pants

  • Golf-specific or neat sports shoes (no metal spikes)

  • Clean denim is permitted, though a smart and respectful appearance is encouraged

Not Acceptable:

  • Singlets, tank tops, or football jerseys

  • Board shorts or overly casual beachwear

  • Ripped or heavily distressed denim

  • Work boots, thongs, or shoes with metal spikes

We ask all guests on our course to follow our dress code and thank you for embracing this positive step forward for the club.
