Gippsland Super 6

2024 Gippsland Super 6 Tournament Announcement

On behalf of the Board and the Golf Committee, we are excited to confirm that the 2024 Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia’s Gippsland Super 6 tournament will be held from Monday 9th December to Sunday 15th December at the Warragul Country Club.

Playing host to this major tournament delivers numerous benefits to the Club and Golf Members, specifically across several key strategic aspects, including Club brand & profile, community activation, development of golf and commercial benefits. This year’s Gippsland Super 6 will follow the same format as 2023, with the final rounds to be held on Saturday and Sunday, which will be broadcast live on Foxtel. Live telecast of the event has showcased our Club, our partners and our golf course to a huge television audience. An outstanding opportunity exists for more local businesses to partner with the Club and the event and capitalise on this brand exposure opportunity.

The Gippsland Super 6 is part of the 2024 Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and we are delighted to announce that the players will again be competing for $200,000 in prize money. The Gippsland Super 6 tournament will be played over 4 rounds from Thursday 12th December to the final on Sunday 15th December 2024. Lead up, qualifying rounds, Junior Pro-Am and clinics and a Wednesday Pro-Am event make up what will be a weekly showcase of high-quality professional tour golf, right here on our doorstep.

As part of the host venue agreement the Club provides use of the golf course to the PGA for the conduct of this Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia event. Like other years, the Club will make arrangements with surrounding local golf clubs to provide alternative golfing opportunities to Members throughout this week. We will provide more details on these important alternatives over the coming months.

Members will see further announcements by the PGA and other partners & stakeholders in this event as we collectively commence the roll out of the marketing and promotion opportunities that are associated with the event.

We are looking forward to hosting this event again in 2024 and hope to see you at the Club during what will be another huge tournament week.
