The Warragul Country Club has received the following email from The Baw Baw Shire compliance Officer.
“We have received some complaints recently regarding motorised golf carts utilising public walking tracks around the golf course.
In particular around Brooker Park, the tennis court and areas between Hallyburton Grove and Bowen St.
Under the local law recreational vehicles (this include golf carts) must not be used on any Council land or reserve.

The Club is pleased to advise Members that the long awaited cart and buggy path from the 14th green to the 15th tee has now been completed.
The path will be in operation from this Saturday. Nathan and his team will now take the opportunity to upgrade and reinstate the tee and the surrounds.
Below is a photo of the construction. The project cost is $30,000 and its completion is part of the 5 Year Golf Course Capital Projects Plan.

Warragul Country Club’s Director of Golf and resident golf professional, Heath Jones, came out of semi-retirement earlier this week and ventured to King Island to play in the 2021 Air Adventure King Island Pro-Am, in the PGA Pro-Am Series’ return to the picturesque Cape Wickham Links and Ocean Dunes Golf Course.
Having self-confessed to not playing a tournament condition round for almost two years, he dusted off his clubs to tie for fourth place with a total score of 65 points after recording 36 points in round two for the equal best score of the day.
Playing alongside fellow Warragul Country Club Member, Matt Wilson, Heath and Matt also managed a top 10 finish in the teams event.

Unfortunately you won’t see Heath play in this Saturdays Gippsland BMW Pro-Am, but he has accepted a tournament invitation to next week’s Gippsland Super 6 Tour Event held at the Yallourn Golf Club. Here’s hoping Heath’s form will continue!
