This year’s Gippsland BMW Pro Am is the biggest the Club has ever hosted, with some of Australia’s top golf professionals playing in the field. We encourage and welcome spectators to come along to see some Australia’s best play right here in Warragul, follow the play on course or position yourself on the 18th hole – proudly sponsored by Carlton & United Breweries.
Notable players include Marcus Fraser (Olympic record holder, 3 time European Tour winner, 2 time Asian Tour winner), Lisa Jean (first female to qualify for the Victorian PGA Championships, played off the men’s tees, inaugural Australian PGA World Cup Team Captain), David McKenzie (currently playing US Legends Tour, finished in the top 5 of the 2019 Senior British Open) and Matt Griffin (2016 NZ Open Champion, 3 x Korean Tour winner and current Japan Tour member)
A FREE junior clinic will be hosted by PGA professionals on the day from 10.30am to 11.15am, with all kids from 6 years to 15 years welcome. Equipment will be supplied to participants if required. Registration for the junior clinic must be done prior, by contacting the Warragul On Course Pro Shop on 5623 2353.

Volunteers Required ~ 2021 Gippsland BMW Pro Am

Dear Members,
We are seeking the assistance of our membership to help ensure the smooth running of our Pro Am.  Many Professionals last year commented on how well the day ran and the way the membership got behind the event and helped out in many facets.
As with any Pro Am or major event, the assistance of volunteers is extremely important to the day.  Volunteers are not required all day, even a few hours either morning or afternoon would be appreciated.
Jobs may consist of any of the following:

  • Car Parking,
  • BBQ duties,
  • Player registration
  • Ball Spotting
  • Player direction
  • Drink Runners

For doing your part, we offer some lunch & refreshments, as well as a Pro AM memento from the day.

As well as volunteers, we do occasionally have some professionals looking for a  place to stay as not many can afford the accommodation fees with all their travelling.  We have been very fortunate in the past with members offering a room to stay in and we ask again if an members would offer this service.

The Warragul Country Club enjoys a unique brand as the premier golf and entertainment venue in the Gippsland region. We strive to deliver a 10/10 customer experience every day and to every customer, which is evidenced by the very high levels of member and guest activation within the venue. The club employs 100 full-time, part-time and casual staff across Bistro, Café, Function Centre, Bars, Gaming & Wagering, Bingo, Golf Course, Golf Retail, Kitchen, Reception and Administration.
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Warragul Country Club in the position of Part Time Marketing Coordinator. This position is a 12 month contract covering maternity leave, commencing mid-February 2021. The Club has over 7,000 Members and this position is responsible for the development and delivery of the Clubs 12 month marketing, promotion and Member loyalty plan, which in turn drives 10/10 customer experience, Member loyalty and venue activation.

Primary Role:

  • Develop and deliver the annual Member Loyalty Program
  • Develop and deliver the annual Members benefits and promotional plan
  • Develop and deliver the Golf Members benefits and promotional plan
  • Manage the interfaces between the various loyalty systems, including but not limited to eBet, Vectron and MiClub
  • Manage the Clubs advertising and social media platforms
  • Manage the budgets associated with each of the above programs and measure and quantify the effectiveness of the Clubs investment in the Member Loyalty Program and its Member promotions
  • Assist and support the management team in the delivery of the Loyalty Zone Program which underpins the standards of 10/10 customer experience

The Warragul Country Club Pro-Am has a reputation in the PGA fraternity for being one of the most professionally run Pro Am events in Victoria.

The Pro-Am is by far the largest day on the Warragul Country Club’s calendar, and brings with it considerable exposure through the Club as well as local media outlets. The event attracts professional golfers from around Australia and this year’s Pro-Am will guarantee to draw some top line tour players as it will be part of the “Gippsland Swing”. Players use this event as a lead up to the Gippsland Super 6 which is set to be held at Yallourn Golf Club the following week.
This year’s prize purse for professionals is $12,000. The leading professional score will be gifted a BMW to drive for the entire week of the Gippsland Super 6 event, courtesy of Gippsland BMW.  For the third year in a row the Baw Baw Shire Council have kindly donated a separate $2,500 bonus purse for the leading female professional.
Men’s and ladies amateur prizes are valued in excess of $4,000. Gippsland BMW will also provide the leading amateur winner the opportunity to drive a BMW for a weekend.
