December 2023 Pro-Am Recap

On Saturday 9th December 2023 we held our annual Gippsland BMW Pro-Am, where 50 professional and 100 amateur golfers took the field to play for the win. While the course was is in supreme condition after hosting the Gippsland Super 6 a few weeks ago, it was a drizzly day in Warragul with 25mm over the course of the day!

Nonetheless, Lucas Higgins and Andrew Kelly both played exceptional golf and won the Pro Am with scores of 64 (7 under par).

The Club extends a big congratulations to Lucus & Andrew and further thanks Gippsland BMW and all other event sponsors for their support of what is arguably one of the Club’s biggest annual tournaments.

Higgins, Kelly joint winners at Warragul

Event Details

The Gippsland BMW Pro-Am has a reputation in the PGA fraternity for being one of the most professionally run Pro-Am events in Victoria, and this has been secured after winning the award for 2023 PGA of Australia Regional Pro-Am Of The Year at the 2023 Victorian Golf Industry Awards Night on Friday 27th October.

The Pro-Am is by far the largest day on the Warragul Country Club’s calendar, and brings with it considerable exposure through the Club as well as local media outlets. The event attracts professional golfers from around Australia and this year’s Pro-Am is sure to draw some top line tour players following after the Gippsland Super 6.

Men’s and ladies amateur prizes are valued in excess of $4,000. Gippsland BMW will also provide the leading amateur winner the opportunity to drive a BMW for a weekend.
