Congratulations to our newest Life Member, Paul Mitchell!

Last night the Club had its Annual General Meeting and we were pleased to present Paul Mitchell with a Life Membership!

Paul’s commitment to service and devotion to the Club is profound and fully deserving of the Club’s highest honour of election as a Life Member. 🤝

Many of you know Paul, and some of his commitments to the Club over the years include:

12 years as a Director of Warragul Country Club
12 years as Men’s Golf Club Representative to the WCC Board
Golf Member for 28 Years
19 Years as Committee Member of the Men’s Golf Committee, 18 years as Secretary

During his time with the Golf Committee and Board he has contributed to the development of the Country Club across many aspects such as:

Major alterations and extensions to the Clubhouse
Golf Course development
Fairway improvements
Assistance in staff development and training
Gaming
Forward planning including development of 5 year strategies for course development, building improvements, and financial stability

Paul has spent an enormous amount of his personal time and effort over the many years he has been involved with the Country Club – far beyond what most people are prepared to commit! Paul is well known for his availability and regular attendance to Club affairs and Club operations.

Please join us in congratulating and thanking Paul for his contributions to the Warragul Country Club. 👏

Volunteers Wanted

We are seeking the assistance of Members to help with general maintenance and tidying up of the course and Clubhouse surrounds in preparation for the Gippsland Super 6. This will be conducted on Monday 29th November @ 9:30am.

There will be other odd jobs that Nathan and the Greens Committee have organised to enable majority of these jobs to be completed before our hosting of the Gippsland Super 6.

Reminder of AGM 2021

Dear Members,

This is a reminder that the 2021 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of Members will be held at the Warragul Reception & Conference Centre (Killarney Room) on Monday 29 November 2021 at 7.30pm (time subject to Covid restrictions) for the following purpose: –

To confirm the Minutes of the 2020 Annual General Meeting.
To receive & adopt the Annual Report and the Financial Statements for the financial year 30 June 2021. To receive other reports from the Board and CEO.
To elect a Chairman for a two year term and to elect three Directors for a two year term.
Directors retiring:
Kaye Rollinson – Chairman Chris Harrison – Director
Danny Answerth – Director Jim Kennedy – Director
To elect Life Membership to nominees who have been approved under Rule 3.4.1.
To vote on all Notices of Motion. (Motions to be lodged in writing to the CEO by 5pm on Friday 5 November 2021). Notices of motion will then be posted on the Notice Board before 5pm Monday 8 November 2021.
Appoint an Auditor for the financial year ending 30^th June 2022.

In respect to the conduct of the AGM, Members are advised of the following important Notices.

No business other than that set out in the Agenda convening the meeting shall be transacted at the meeting.
Copies of the 2020/2021 Annual Report are available for collection at Club Reception. The Report will also be distributed at the Annual General Meeting. Alternatively, a copy of the Annual Report can be found here.
Any questions in relation to the Financial Statements must be delivered to the CEO in writing 7 days prior to the Annual General Meeting.
Nomination forms for positions on the Board of Management are available from Club Reception and must be lodged by 5:00pm Monday 8 November 2021. Nominations are now called for these positions.
If an election is required, voting for the Board Positions will be conducted at the AGM as well as Pre-polling voting, available from Club Reception 7 days prior to the Annual General Meeting, from 9am on 22 November 2021 to 5pm 29 November 2021.

Annual General Meeting – Second Notice

Hi all,

Further to my previous Notice advising that the 2021 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of Members will be held at the Club (Killarney Room) on Monday 29 November 2021 at 7.30pm (time subject to COVID-19 restrictions), nominations for the Board have now closed. The following nominations were received.

Kaye Rollinson – Chairperson Chris Harrison – Director

Danny Answerth – Director Jim Kennedy – Director

As there were four nominations received for 4 positions, the four nominees are elected to the Board under the Rules, for a further 2 years.

Members are also advised that a Notice of Motion has been received in accordance with the Rules. It relates to changes to the Club’s Rules and a copy of the Notice, and the updated Rules is attached for review by the Members. Copies are posted on the Club’s Notice Board.

Copies of the 2020/2021 Annual Report will be available for collection at Club Reception from 15 November 2021 and the Report will also be distributed at the Annual General Meeting.
