Second Golf Cart Storage Facility

Second Golf Cart Storage Facility

The Club has a Five Year Capital Development Plan for the Golf Course, which has been endorsed by the Men’s & Women’s Golf Committee’s.  The Plan lists a number of important projects identified for consideration by the Board in 2021/2022 and for the next 5 years.   Consistent with the Plan, the Board at its July 2021 meeting, approved construction and funding for a second golf cart storage facility. A budget of $126,000 has been allocated to this project.
A plan of the proposed storage facility is available to view below. The key features are:

  • An additional 24 golf members storage bays to service the current waitlist of 18 golf members.
  • Provision to also store the clubs 20 golf carts and in a manner that provides significant labour savings to the current practice of storage.
  • The location is on the east side of the current golf cart storage facility in the area where cypress trees were recently removed.

It is expected the project will be completed by December 2021. Golf cart storage revenue from this second golf cart facility is expected to be approx. $15,000 per annum and this will provide a return on investment for this Project, along with Pro Shop labour savings.  Total golf cart storage revenue for both storage facilities for 54 golf carts is approx. $36,000 per annum.
A copy of the Five Year Capital Development Plan for the Golf Course is also attached for the information of all Members.
Should any Member seek further information, or wish to discuss this decision, or the Capital Development Plan, please feel free to call me on 0418 325 252 or drop in to discuss.
Any Golf members who are not on the current wait list, and wish to hire a golf cart storage bay in this new storage facility, an application and registration form can be requested by email to Heath Jones on heath@warragulcountryclub.com.au.
